WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Central Missouri Mules (7-9, 3-7) fell to the Northeastern State RiverHawks (9-5, 6-4) by a final score of 74-63 on Thursday, Jan. 12, inside the Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg.
The Mules began the game on a 26-7 run, but Northeastern State responded taking a three-point lead into halftime and never relinquished. The RiverHawks were led by Tylor Arnold's 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Central Missouri had three players finish in double figures including 18 points from
Jack Chapman (team-high seven rebounds and two assists overall) and redshirt junior
Garrett Luinstra (game-high six assists and four rebounds overall), who made a season-high four three pointers on six attempts.
Forward
Gaven Pinkley added 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists playing in his 121st career game for the Mules surpassing Ron Nunnelly and Tyrone Lee (1981-85).
Guard
Kobe Campbell ended the night with six points, three rebounds, and one steal while redshirt sophomore
Mikel Henderson added five points and two assists. Forward
Ben Fritz contributed five rebounds and four points; plus, guard
Trey Sides finished the contest with two points, one rebound, one assist and one steal respectively.
The Mules return to the court on Saturday, Jan. 14, as they host the Hillcats of Rogers State with tip-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m. from the Multipurpose Building.
