WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Central Missouri Jennies (9-6, 4-2 MIAA) fell to the Central Oklahoma Bronchos (16-2, 6-2 MIAA) by a final score of 3-1 (25-20, 22-25, 20-25, 21-25) inside the Multipurpose Building on the opening night of Family Weekend in Warrensburg.
After losing the first set, the Bronchos responded in the second with a 5-2 run to tie the match. With the score tied at 16 in the third, UCO won the set thanks to a 7-2 run. After trailing in the fourth set by as many as six, UCM was able to cut the deficit to two points late but were unable to overcome the Broncho attack.

Sydney Lierz led the Jens with her team-leading fifth double-double (14 kills and 14 digs). The Jennies were led offensively by
Kersti Nix' team-high 15 kills in the match.

Chandler Vaughan had a team-high 40 assists, nine digs, and a team-high five blocks. Libero
Rylie Barnum led Central Missouri defensively with a team-high 22 digs, plus
Grace Winkelmann and
Arley Anderson each contributed 12 digs respectively.
UCM returns to the court Saturday, Oct. 1, at 6:30 p.m. as they host the Newman Jets as Family Weekend continues in Warrensburg.
