WARRENSBURG- Mo. – The Central Missouri Jennies volleyball team (9-5, 4-1 MIAA) was defeated by No. 7 Nebraska-Kearney (15-1, 5-1 MIAA) by a final score of 3-2 (24-26, 25-18, 23-25, 29-27, 11-15) on Saturday afternoon inside the Multipurpose Building.
After splitting the first four sets of the match, a Loper attack error tied the deciding set at eight. Nebraska-Kearney ended the match on a 7-3 run including five kills from middle blocker Bailee Sterling (match-high 22 overall). On the afternoon, Nebraska-Kearney outhit the Jennies .316 to .283.
Central Missouri was led offensively by redshirt junior outside hitter
Kersti Nix' 20 kills, while fellow outside hitter
Grace Southern had a season-high 14 kills.
Sydney Lierz recorded her fourth double-double (season-high 17 digs, 10 kills) on the year in the loss.

Chandler Vaughan had multiple season-highs including assists (53) and kills (seven), while adding eight digs. Libero
Rylie Barnum led the Jens defensively with a team-high 24 digs, plus redshirt freshman
Jenna Schulte had a team-high seven blocks respectively.
UCM continues their home stand next Friday night against Central Oklahoma beginning at 6:00 p.m.
