Pittsburg, Kan. – The No. 16 ranked Jennies volleyball team (7-4, 3-0) beat the Pittsburg State Gorillas (7-5, 1-2) inside the John Lance Arena on Friday afternoon by a final score of 3-1 (25-21, 25-22, 18-25, 25-22). With the win, the Jennies extend their streak to five in a row including three against MIAA opponents.
After taking the first set 25-21, Central Missouri rallied from a five-point deficit to win the second on a 10-2 run highlighted by three kills from freshman middle blocker
Rachel Ziesman. The Shawnee, Kan. native ended the match with nine kills overall.
With the Gorillas leading 19-18 in the fourth, back-to-back kills from sophomore outside hitter
Tiffany Little (five kills in the set, 11 kills overall) gave UCM the lead that they never relinquished. The Jens were led by outside hitter
Sydney Lierz' double-double performance (11 kills, 11 digs, and five blocks), while redshirt sophomore
Chandler Vaughan recorded 43 assists, five kills, four digs, and four blocks.

Central Missouri returns to the court on Tuesday night inside the Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg as they take on the Drury Panthers beginning at 6:00 p.m.
