WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The No. 17 Central Missouri Jennies (8-4, 3-0 MIAA) beat the Drury Panthers (7-7, 2-0 GLVC) by a final score of 3-1 (25-22, 25-21, 17-25, 25-19) on Tuesday night inside the Multipurpose Building extending their winning streak to six.
After winning the first set, the Jennies found themselves trailing in the second 16-20 when head coach
Caitlin Peterson called a timeout. Beginning with a
Kersti Nix kill, (three in the set, team-high 15 overall) UCM finished the set on a 9-1 run including four Panther attack errors (28 overall).
In the fourth, the Jens relied on their defense, racking up six of the team's 11 total blocks on the night. Redshirt freshman
Jenna Schulte, who leads the country in blocks-per-set, (1.55) added a team-high five overall. Redshirt senior libero
Rylie Barnum had a team-high 16 digs, while
Grace Winkelmann contributed seven digs and a team-high two aces.

Chandler Vaughan had a team-high 37 assists, six digs, and a season-high five blocks overall. Plus, redshirt junior outside hitter
Sydney Lierz added 12 digs, nine kills, and three blocks in the win.
Central Missouri continues their home stand with a pair of conference matches this weekend beginning Friday night at 6:00 p.m. against the Fort Hays State Tigers.
