ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – No. 18 Jennies volleyball (6-4, 2-0) makes it four wins in a row after defeating Missouri Western (3-7, 0-2) by a final of 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-11) inside the MWSU Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.
After winning the first set of the match, Central Missouri found themselves trailing in the second 21-16. Beginning with a kill from redshirt freshman
Jenna Schulte (six kills and nine blocks), the Jens proceeded to win the set going on a 9-1 run.
In the third, the Jennies began the set on a 15-2 run picking up right where they left off previously. In the match, Central Missouri outhit the Griffons .174 to -.023 percent.
The Jennies were led offensively by redshirt junior
Kersti Nix' match-high eight kills on 24 attempts, good enough for a .333 attack percentage. Redshirt sophomore
Chandler Vaughan had a match-high 20 assists adding three kills, while redshirt sophomore
Grace Southern contributed seven kills and two blocks.

Rylie Barnum led Central Missouri defensively with a match-high 17 digs, plus redshirt junior
Sydney Lierz added 10 digs and three kills.
The Jennies return to the court for a pair of conference matches next weekend against Pittsburg State (Friday at 2:00 p.m.) and Missouri Southern (Saturday at 2:00 p.m.).
