MISSION HILLS, Kan. – University of Central Missouri Mules golf will be well represented in the 2022 Watson Challenge June 2-4 at Indian Hills Country Club. The annual tournament, hosted by tournament namesake and legendary PGA Tour golfer Tom Watson, is a 54-hole golf championship held "to determine the best golfer in the greater Kansas City golf community" each year.
This year's event will feature a 50-golfer field, including current Mules golfer
Calvin Dillon, and Mules golf alums
Sam Parrott, Alex Springer, Zach VanDolah and Austin Jarchow.
The 2021 Kansas City Amateur Golfer of the Year, Parrott is paired with Tom Watson and is slated to tee-off at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 2, in the first round.
Dillon is scheduled for a 9:20 a.m. tee time, while Jarchow is slated for 9:30 a.m., Springer, the 2019 Watson Challenge Champion, at 10 a.m. and VanDolah at 10:50 a.m.
The event will raise funds for the
First Tee of Kansas City. Tickets are available at the door and a $25 donation to the First Tee is suggested.
