EMPORIA, Kan. – Central Missouri Mules and Jennies track and field throwers excelled at the Emporia State University Midwest Classic Sunday, April 24, at Welch Stadium.
Highlights
- Rachael Molloy, a redshirt sophomore from Carrollton, Mo., captured the hammer throw title after posting a provisional throw of 53.15m (174-04.00). Her mark is eighth best in school history and ranks in the top-30 in NCAA-II this season. She finished third in the discus with a distance of 41.39m (135-09.00).
- A senior from Urbandale, Iowa, Ashlan Burton won both the shot put and discus. In the shot put, Burton compiled a provisional mark of 14.58m (47-10.00) while posting a mark of 45.37m (148-10.00) in the discus.
- Addison Snowball, a redshirt sophomore from Riverside, Mo., took first in the discus with a provisional mark of 51.78m (169-10.00). His mark ranks in the top-20 in NCAA-II this season. Snowball finished third in the shot put with a throw of 15.50m (50-10.25).
- Jacob Tsikoyak, a freshman from Meadville, Mo., placed fifth in the hammer throw with a mark of 45.74m (150-01.00).
The Mules and Jennies are scheduled to return to action April 28-30 at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.
