WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Brooke Littrell scored 27 points and
Nija Collier picked up her 15th double-double of the season to lead Central Missouri Jennies basketball to a 74-54 win over the Pittsburg State Gorillas Monday, Feb. 7, inside the Multipurpose Building.
The Jennies (16-8, 12-5 MIAA) are scheduled to travel to Topeka, Kan., for an MIAA road contest at Washburn Saturday, Feb. 12, at Lee Arena.
Littrell, a redshirt freshman from Green City, Mo., posted her 14th game this season with at least 20 points, netting her 27 on 9-for20 shooting from the floor and an 8-of-9 showing at the free-throw line, while Collier, a redshirt senior from Roseville, Mich., tallied 21 points and 18 boards for her team and MIAA-best 15th double-double of 2021-22.
Olivia Nelson also reached double figures in the victory with 15 points.
Central Missouri shot 42 percent (26-for-62) from the floor and were an impressive 18-of-19 at the free-throw line for 95 percent. The Jennies also outrebounded the Gorillas (13-9, 8-8 MIAA), 41-30, and outscored Pittsburg State in the paint, 40-32, and on second-chance opportunities, 22-4.
Tristan Gegg scored 13Â points to lead the Gorillas.
