TOPEKA, Kan. – Brooke Littrell scored 25 points as Central Missouri Jennies basketball fell at Washburn, 72-71, Saturday, Feb. 12, inside Lee Arena.
The Jennies (16-9, 12-6 MIAA) are scheduled to return home to the Multipurpose Building to host Nebraska Kearney Thursday, Feb. 17, at 5:30 p.m.
Littrell went 6-of-14 from the floor and made a career-best 13 of 13 free-throws for her game-best 25 points and added a team-best eight rebounds.
Nija Collier (18 points) and
Olivia Nelson (12 points) also reached double figure scoring in the contest.
UCM shot 47 percent from the field (25-of-53), 33 percent from three-point range (6-for-18) and went a perfect 15-of-15 at the free-throw line in the game, but were outrebounded, 30-28, and outscored in the paint, 34-28, by the Ichabods.
Washburn (12-11, 10-7 MIAA) shot 50 percent from the floor (27-of-54) for the contest.
Hunter Bentley compiled 19 points, leading the Ichabods.
