MARYVILLE, Mo. – Central Missouri Mules and Jennies track and field picked up three more MIAA championships and had six runners up performances to highlight the third and final day of the MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships Sunday, Feb. 27, inside Hughes Field House in Maryville.
UCM ends its MIAA Indoor Championships with four individual titles.
In the team standings, the Mules and Jennies both finished fourth, with the Mules tallying 83 points and the Jennies compiling 82.50 points. Pittsburg State captured both the MIAA Indoor Men's and Women's Team Championships.
Jumps/Hurdles
- Kayla Goodwin picked up the Jennies first conference title of the day, finishing first in the triple jump with an NCAA-II provisional mark of 12.45m (40-10.25). Her mark ranks ninth-best in the nation this season and is third-best in program history. Camryn Holloman completed a 1-2 performance for UCM in the triple jump, finishing second with a personal-best and provisional jump of 12.22m (40-01.25). That mark is 15th-best in NCAA-II and sixth-best all-time.
- Jathan Deberry and Parker Wormek went 2-3 in the men's 60m hurdles for the Mules. Deberry posted a facility-record, personal-best and provisional time of 7.91 while Wormek clocked a personal-best and provisional time of 8.01. Deberry's time is seventh-best in NCAA-II and second-fastest in program history while Wormek's time is 14th best in the country and seventh-fastest all-time.
Sprints
- Antonio Lay captured the MIAA title in the men's 60m dash for the Mules, posting a provisional time of 6.77. His mark is third-fastest all-time.
- Lucy Steinmeyer finished second in the women's 400m dash, clocking a provisional and personal-best time of 54.92. Her time is ninth-fastest in the nation this season and a new Central Missouri indoor record.
- Jana Shawver placed second in the women's 800m run after posting a facility-record, personal-best and provisional time of 2:09.70. Her time is third-fastest in program history and sixth-fastest in NCAA-II in 2021-22.
Pole Vault
- Vincent Hobbie and Reagan Ulrich went 2-3 in the men's pole vault. Hobbie finished second after clearing a provisional height of 5.24m (17-02.25), while UIrich placed third after clearing a provisional mark of 5.14m (16-10.25). Hobbie's mark is tied for second-best in NCAA-II while Ulrich's mark is fourth best.
- Jack Hodge finished just outside the top-three in the pole vault, placing fourth with a provisional clearance of 5.04m (16-06.50). His mark is 11th-best in the nation this season.
Throws
- Ashlan Burton captured the MIAA title in the women's shot put for the second straight season, posting a provisional mark of 15.38m (50-05.50). That mark is fifth-best in the nation and third-best in program history.
Relays
- The Mules finished runner up in the men's 4x400m relay with a provisional time of 3:13.13. The time is the ninth-fastest in the nation in 2021-22. Trey Miller, Isaak Rasche, Derek Nugent and Michael James were the relay participants for Central Missouri.
- The Jennies placed third in the women's 4x400m relay, clocking a provisional time of 3:45.24. That time is ninth-fastest in NCAA-II this season. The Jennies relay consisted of Alex Foote, Laia Gonzalez, Jana Shawver and Lucy Steinmeyer.
