EDMOND, Okla. – Brooke Littrell scored 28 points, leading Central Missouri Jennies basketball to a 79-66 victory over the Central Oklahoma Bronchos inside Hamilton Field House Wednesday, Feb. 23.
The Jennies (18-10, 14-7 MIAA) are scheduled to conclude regular season play with an MIAA road contest at Lincoln Saturday, Feb. 26, at 1 p.m. in Jefferson City, Mo.
A redshirt sophomore forward from Green City, Mo., Littrell went 8-for-14 from the floor, including a 2-of-5 showing from three-point range, and made 10 of 11 free-throws for her game-high 28 points and added eight rebounds. She has scored at least 20 points in 17 of the Jennies' 28 games this season, including three contests with 30 or more points.
Nija Collier netted 20 points while compiling eight boards and a team-best five steals, and
Olivia Nelson posted 18 points, rounding out the UCM leaders in the game.
Central Missouri shot 51 percent (25-of-49) from the floor and were 23-of-24 at the free-throw line for 96 percent for the game.
Kelsey Johnson tallied 25 points and snagged 10 rebounds for a double-double, pacing Central Oklahoma (16-11, 12-9 MIAA).
