WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Brooke Littrell scored 31 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the Central Missouri Jennies to a 65-59 victory over the Nebraska Kearney Lopers on a snowy Thursday, Feb. 17, at the Multipurpose Building.
The Jennies (17-9, 13-6 MIAA) are scheduled to wrap up their regular season home schedule with a 1 p.m. contest vs. No. 9 Fort Hays State Saturday, Feb. 19.
Littrell, a redshirt freshman from Green City, Mo., went 9-for-15 from the field and an impressive 11-of-11 at the free-throw line for her game-high 31 points going along with her 13 boards for her 13th double-double of the season.
Nija Collier also reached double figures with 10 points and tallied a team-high three blocks, while
Olivia Nelson dished out a team-high three assists.
The Jennies outscored the Lopers (19-6, 14-5 MIAA), 23-10, in the third quarter to turn a 28-27 halftime deficit into a 50-38 advantage and maintained a lead throughout the fourth quarter on their way to the victory.
Central Missouri shot 47 percent from the floor and went 15-of-16 at the free-throw line for 94 percent. UCM outrebounded Nebraska Kearney, 31-28, and outscored the Lopers in the paint, 34-32.
Brooke Carlson tallied 18 points off the bench, pacing Nebraska Kearney.
