  • Central Missouri Mules basketball continues conference play as they face the Pittsburg State Gorillas on Saturday (Dec. 17, 7:30 p.m.) from the John Lance Arena in Pittsburg, Kan.

LAST TIME OUT
  • The Mules fell to the Missouri Southern Lions by a final score of 82-74 on Tuesday, Dec. 13, inside the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center in Joplin.  
  • UCM had two players finish the contest in double figures including a season-high 28 points from Redshirt senior forward Gaven Pinkley and 22 points from guard Mikel Henderson.
  • The Mules held a 38-36 advantage at halftime before being outscored 46-36 in the second half.
  • The Lions were led by guard Avery Taggart's double-double performance (18 points and 11 rebounds) while three other players ended the night in double figures (Vinson Sigmon Jr., Ndongo Ndaw, and Winston Dessesow).

  • The Mules come into Saturday's game averaging 75.1 points per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field.   
  • UCM has two players averaging in double figures this season including Mikel Henderson (14.3 points per game) and Gaven Pinkley (14.2 points per game).

  • Gaven Pinkley scored a game-high 24 points while Ja'Cor Nelson added a double-double (11 points and 10 rebounds) in the victory 66-58 victory in Pittsburg, Kan. (12/18/2021).  
  • Ja'Cor Nelson and Gaven Pinkley led UCM with 21 points each in the 71-68 loss in Warrensburg, Mo. (2/26/2022).
