WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Central Missouri Mules (2-2, 0-0) defeated the MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers (5-1, 0-0) by a final score of 75-51 on Saturday, Nov. 19, inside the Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg.
The Mules finished the contest with two players recording double-doubles including sophomore
Jack Chapman (game-high 15 points and 10 rebounds) and forward
Ben Fritz (11 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists).
UCM controlled the pace offensively outscoring the Pioneers 36-28 in the paint while the Mules bench outscored MidAmerica Nazarene by a margin of 32-11.
In total, five players for Central Missouri ended the game in double figures including
Kobe Campbell (12 points, three assists, and a game-high three steals),
Mikel Henderson (12 points, two rebounds, and one assist), and
Gaven Pinkley (12 points, one assist, one rebound, and one steal).
Redshirt junior guard
Garrett Luinstra recorded a game-high four assists, six points, five rebounds and one steal while guard
Trey Sides had a game-high three steals, two points, and two assists in the victory.
The Mules return to the court on Tuesday, Nov. 22, as they host the Missouri Valley Vikings with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m. inside the Multipurpose Building.
