WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The Central Missouri Mules (3-2, 0-0) defeated the Missouri Valley Vikings (1-4, 0-0) by a final score of 78-71 on Tuesday, Nov. 22, inside the Multipurpose Building.
Thanks to shooting 50% from the field in the first half, the Vikings led by as many as eight, but the Mules cut the deficit as the score was tied at halftime at 31. In the second half, UCM was the aggressor offensively shooting just over 53% from the field en route to a seven-point victory.
Redshirt sophomore guard
Kobe Campbell led the Mules with a team-high 19 points, a game-high eight rebounds, and five assists while forward
Ben Fritz added 16 points and five rebounds respectively.
Three other Mules finished the game in double figures including redshirt sophomore
Mikel Henderson (12 points and one steal), forward
Gaven Pinkley (11 points, four rebounds, and three assists), and redshirt junior
Garrett Luinstra (11 points, a game-high four steals, three assists, and three rebounds).
Central Missouri returns to the court on Saturday, Nov. 26, as they host the Central Christian College of the Bible, tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. inside the Multipurpose Building.
