MOORHEAD, Minn. – Brooke Littrell led four players in double figures as the Central Missouri Jennies basketball team defeated the MSU Moorhead Dragons, 69-58, in the NSIC/MIAA Regional Challenge Saturday, Nov. 12, at Nemzek Fieldhouse.
The Jennies (2-0) are scheduled to host Evangel for their 2022-23 home opener Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m. at the Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg.
A redshirt sophomore from Green City, Mo., Littrell shot 50 percent from the floor, going 7-of-14, and was 7-of-9 at the free-throw line for her game-high 21 points.
Olivia Nelson added 14 points while
Lauren Frost had 12 and
Graycen Holden had 10, rounding out the Jennies in double figures.
Kade Hackerott paced UCM on the glass, snagging a game-best 10 rebounds.
Central Missouri shot 44 percent from the floor, going 27-of-61, and were 10-of-13 from the free-throw line for 77 percent. The Jennies outrebounded the Dragons (1-1), 40-33, and outscored MSUM in the paint, 40-22, and off turnovers, 14-6.
Peyton Boom scored 20 points, leading MSU Moorhead.
