WARRENSBURG, Mo. – No. 23 Central Missouri Jennies (11-6, 6-2 MIAA) swept the Missouri Western Griffons (5-12, 2-7 MIAA) on Tuesday, Oct. 4, inside the Multipurpose Building to conclude a six-match home stand.
UCM began the match on an 8-1 run with four kills from outside hitter
Kersti Nix (match-high 16 kills, .500 hitting percentage overall), before the Griffons tied the set at 15. Nix' eight kills in the set helped the Jens take a 1-0 lead.
Tied at four in the second, Central Missouri went on an 8-3 run thanks to redshirt junior
Sydney Lierz (seven kills, five digs, and three blocks overall) and freshman
Rachel Ziesman (10 kills and career-high five blocks overall) recording two kills each.
The Jens were able to complete the sweep of the Griffons thanks to a 12-4 run in the third. Central Missouri outhit Missouri Western by a margin of .339 to .187 in the win.

Grace Southern added seven kills and two blocks. Redshirt freshman
Grace Winkelmann led UCM defensively with a career-high 17 digs in the win.
