TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Fourth-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer increased its winning streak to nine consecutive matches with a 2-1 victory over the Northeastern State RiverHawks Sunday afternoon, Oct. 2, in a MIAA match played at DeLoache Field.

The Jennies (11-0-1, 5-0 MIAA) are scheduled to return home to the South Recreation Complex to host Emporia State in a conference match Friday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m.

All three goals scored in the match occurred in the second half.

Twenty-nine minutes later in the 77th minute, Madilyn Hamline doubled Central Missouri's advantage to 2-0, taking a pass from Ashleigh Martin and sneaking it past RiverHawk goalkeeper Rebecca Partyka into the lower right corner of the goal. It was Hamline's sixth goal and Martin's third assist of 2022.

Northeastern State (4-2-6, 1-2-2 MIAA) cut the UCM lead to 2-1 with a goal in the 82nd minute, but Jennies' goalkeeper Sydney Beck made two crucial saves and the UCM defense held strong in the final eight minutes of the match, giving Central Missouri the 2-1 triumph.
