MARYVILLE, Mo. – The No. 25 Central Missouri Jennies (12-8, 7-4 MIAA) were defeated by the No. 15 Northwest Missouri Bearcats (14-5, 8-3 MIAA) by a final score of 3-1 (21-25, 15-25, 25-23, 18-25) on Tuesday, Oct. 11, inside Bearcat Arena.
After trailing 20-18 in the first, the Bearcats took a 1-0 lead thanks to a 7-1 run. Sophomore outside hitter
Tiffany Little (career and match-high 20 kills, three digs, and two blocks overall) led the Jennies with five kills in the set.

Caitlin Peterson called a timeout down 16-10. Thanks to an 8-2 run including five kills from redshirt junior
Kersti Nix (16 kills and two blocks overall), Central Missouri battled back to force a fourth set.
Northwest Missouri began the fourth with a 9-3 run and never relinquished. On the night, the Bearcats outhit UCM by a .225 to .149 attack percentage. Setter
Chandler Vaughan recorded a double-double performance (team-high 44 assists and 16 digs) in the match.

Rylie Barnum added 15 digs. Middle blocker Jenna Schule recorded eight kills (.389 hitting percentage), three digs, and two blocks.
No. 25 Central Missouri returns to the court on Friday, Oct. 14, beginning at 7:00 p.m. against Missouri Southern inside the Multipurpose Building. During Friday's match, there will be a special ceremony honoring former Jennies' head coach Flip Piontek as we salute his service to the program.
