WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer scored two goals in the first half and added a third goal in the second half to earn a 3-0 shutout win over Northwest Missouri State Friday, Sept. 17, at the South Recreation Complex.
The Jennies (4-1-0) are scheduled to travel to Joplin, Mo., to take on Missouri Southern Sunday, Sept. 19, at 2 p.m.
The Jennies netted goals in the second, 20th and 71st minutes on their way to victory.
Kassie Newsom scored two of UCM's three goals in the contest and added an assist, while
Caroline Cole tallied the opening goal of the match.
McKenzie Robinson added an assist, respectively.

Lindsey Johnson went the full 90 minutes between the posts, making six saves while giving up no goals to collect her third shutout of 2021.
The Jennies wasted no time getting on the scoreboard in the contest, netting their first goal just over two minutes into the match after Cole collected a pass from Newsom and placed it just over the goal line, putting UCM in front, 1-0.
UCM doubled its advantage 18 minutes later when Newsom scored off a Robinson pass.
Newsom added her second goal of the match with just under 20 minutes remaining in the second half on a breakaway down the field, building the UCM lead to 3-0.
A native of Lee's Summit, Mo., Newsom now leads Central Missouri with three goals, three assists and nine points on the season, while Cole has a pair of goals for four points.
The Jennies outshot the Bearcats (2-3-0) in the match, 25-14, including an 11-6 advantage in shots on goal.
