MIAA Releases Wrestling Academic Awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 31, 2021) - The MIAA just announced the 2020-21 Wrestling Academic Awards. Five Mules were recognized for their work in the classroom, being listed on the Wrestling Academic Honor Roll.

The league recognized 46 student-athletes for their work in the classroom as a Wrestling Scholar-Athlete and/or listed on the Wrestling Academic Honor Roll. 

Central Missouri senior Zion Vasquez, juniors Joe Brady, Cole Hatfield, Austin Morgan, and sophomore John Ridle were all named to the Academic Honor Roll. 

A total of 39 MIAA wrestlers were mentioned in the Academic Honor Roll. To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic
certification of 3.00 or above at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms. The complete list of Academic Honor Roll recipients for wrestling is available here (will add).
