JOPLIN, Mo. (March 26, 2021) - Central Missouri Jennies soccer suffered a 3-2 overtime loss to Missouri Southern Friday night on the road.
The Lions shutout UCM in the first 45 minutes and had a 2-0 lead at the half.
Madi Poertner finally put the Jennies on the board early in the second half with an assist from
Andree Orcutt. With less than 10 minutes left Poertner scored again, unassisted, tying the match 2-2.
Missouri Southern was the first to score in overtime, finding the back of UCM's net in the first three minutes to end the match with a 3-2 Lions victory.

Sydney Daris protected the Jennies goal for the entire 98 minutes. She finished with five saves.
Jennies soccer returns to action on Sunday, March 28th, with a 1:00 p.m. match against Emporia State on Jennies Field in Warrensburg, Mo.
