SCENCE SETTER
• Top-seeded Jennies soccer (19-3-1) is scheduled to face No. 3-seeded Bemidji State (19-1-3) in the NCAA-II Central Region title match Friday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m. CT in Allendale, Mich., at GVSU Soccer Field. No. 1-ranked Grand Valley State will host Saginaw Valley in the Midwest Region Championship match, with the winners of each match advancing to face each other in the NCAA-II National Quarterfinals Sunday, Dec. 5 at noon CT in Allendale.
• In the NCAA-II tournament opening round, Lindsey Edmonds netted the gamewinning goal off a corner kick from Carole Cole just eight minutes into the match lifting UCM to a 1-0 shutout win over eighth-seeded SWOSU on Nov. 19 at the Sout Rec. Complex.
• Against Minnesota State in the second round,
Sydney Leslie netted the gamewinning goal in the 62nd-minute to help Central Missouri Jennies soccer advance to the NCAA-II Central Region Championship Match with a 4-3, comeback win over No. 25-ranked and fourth-seeded Minnesota State Sunday, Nov. 21, at the South Recreation Complex.
• The Jennies are in their 11th straight appearance in the NCAA tournament and their 14th appearance in program history.
• The Jennies are ranked 11th in the most recent United Soccer Coaches Top 25- Poll.

vs. Bemidji State : UCM leads Bemidji State in the all-time series, 2-0-0
Last meeting: The Jennies and the Beavers met once in the 2019 season with UCM winning the match 1-0 in overtime in Mankato, Min.
Postseason series history vs. BSU: The Jennies and Beavers have met just once in NCAA-II tournament play, with UCM posting a 2-0 win during the 2018 season.

Bemidji State
• Bemidji State has an overall record of 19-1-3 and is the No. 3 seed in the NCAAII Central Region. • The Beavers won a 1-0 decision over No. 2 Emporia State on Nov. 21 in the NCAA tournament second round. • Sara Wendt has contributed 19 goals, three assists, 41 points, and 85 shots, leading Bemidji State after 23 matches, while Allyson Smith has six goals, eight assists, 20 points, and 103 shots.

Kassie Newsom was named the D2CCA Women's Soccer Central Region Player of the Year to highlight four Jennies soccer student-athletes named D2CCA AllCentral Region for the 2021 season.

ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT

Kassie Newsom was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for the second straight season in 2021.
• Newsom carries a perfect 4.0 GPA as a criminal justice major.
JENNIES IN THE MIAA STATISTICS
• Through 23 matches,
Kassie Newsom leads the MIAA in points (51), assists (15) and is second in goals (18) while
Sydney Leslie is 9th in the conference in shots (70), third in points (30) and third in goals (15). • In the latest MIAA goalkeeping statistics,
Lindsey Johnson is fifth in GAA (1.30) and saves (74), and sixth in shutouts per match (.250)
JENNIES IN THE NATIONAL STATISTICS

Kassie Newsom is second in all of NCAA Division II women's soccer with 49 points, and ranks third in both total assists (15) and fourth in assists per game (0.72). She is second in points per game at 2.61. • Newsom has already set a new UCM single-season assists record with 15 and has tied the program's single-season points mark at 49 going into NCAA-II regional action. Her 18 goals are two shy of tying Jada Scott's single-season mark of 20 set in 2018.

• Dating back to the 2016 season, the Jennies are 37-1-1 at Jennies Field and have allowed just 19 goals in that span.
• The Jennies have outscored opponents 141-2 in goals at home since 2016.
