CRETE, Neb. -- Trey Miller captured the heptatlon title and
Christopher Goodwin finished fourth in the same event to highlight University of Central Missouri Mules track and field performances at the 2021 Happy Holidays Invitational at Doane University in Crete, Nebraska Dec. 11-12.
Miller, a junior from Clinton, Mo., posted a new personal best and NCAA Division II provisional score of 5,516 points enroute to his finish atop the podium in the heptathlon. His score is also the top mark in all of NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA far in 2021-22.
A senior from Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand, Goodwin posted the top mark in NCAA Division II in the long jump and the third-best jump in UCM indoor program history with a personal best and provisional jump of 7.73m (25', 4.5") on his way to his fourth-place showing in the heptathlon.
Trent Davis also finished in the top-10 for UCM in the heptathlon, finishing eighth with 4,126 points, respectively.
Central Missouri is scheduled to host the UCM Invitational Friday, Jan. 21, inside the UCM Multipurpose Building.
