FAYETTE, Iowa – Darick Lapaglia and
Emmett Kuntz each collected wins as the University of Central Missouri Mules wrestling team fell at seventh-ranked Upper Iowa, 32-6, in its first dual meet of the season Sunday, Dec. 12, inside Dorman Memorial Gymnasium.
The Mules (0-1) are scheduled to return to the mat Dec. 18-19 at the Midwest Classic in Indianapolis, Ind.
Lapaglia, a redshirt senior from Blue Springs, Mo., improved to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in dual competition on the season after posting a 6-5 decision over Upper Iowa's sixth-ranked Eric Faught at 149 pounds, while Kuntz, a senior from Bakersfield, Calif., moved to 4-6 on the season and 1-0 in duals with a 4-1 decision against the Peacock's Ryan Steffen at 165 pounds.
