INDIANAPOLIS – University of Central Missouri junior Alexandria Newell has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Athlete of the Week in women's bowling, it was announced by the league office Friday.

• Named to All-Tournament Team, finishing fifth out of 94 competitors

• Registered a 46.6 strike percentage and a 90.0 single pin spare percentage
• Tallied a 19.6 individual frame average
•  Earns first career Athlete of the Week award
