SCENE SETTER
• No. 17 University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer hosts Missouri Southern on Friday, Oct. 29th at 7 p.m. in Warrensburg at the South Recreation Complex before wrapping up the regular season with a home match vs. Missouri Western for Senior Day Sunday, Oct. 31, at 1 p.m.
• The Jennies are coming off of 2-1 double-overtime victory against Washburn Oct. 22 at Yager Stadium in Topeka, Kan., and a 4-3 double overtime loss against No. 11 Emporia State on Oct. 24 in Emporia, Kan.
• At Washburn, Sydney Leslie netted the game-tying goal with less than 30 seconds remaining in regulation on a free kick from 20 yards out before Caroline Cole struck a perfectly placed feed from Kassie Newsom inside the left post with three minutes to go in the second extra time period, giving the Jennies the thrilling 2-1 victory.
• Leslie (2) and Cole netted UCM's goals in the setback at Emporia State.
• The Jennies are ranked 17th in new United Soccer Coaches Top 25-Poll announced on Oct. 26.
• Central Missouri is ranked first in the inaugural 2021 Central Region rankings announced on Oct. 27.

Missouri Southern

• Missouri Southern has an overall record of 3-11-2  and a 2-7-0 MIAA mark entering the weekend.
• The Lions dropped a 2-0 decision to Washburn on Oct. 24 in their last match.

JENNIES IN THE MIAA STATISTICS
• Through 16 matches, Kassie Newsom leads the MIAA in points (38), assists, (10) and is  second in goals (14) while Sydney Leslie is ninth in the conference in shots (51) and points (18), and third in goals (9).
• In the latest MIAA goalkeeping statistics, Lindsey Johnson is seventh in GAA (1.30) and saves (74), and fourth in shutouts per match (.250)

 JENNIES IN THE NATIONAL STASTITICS
Kassie Newsom is second in all of NCAA Division II women's soccer with 38 points, and ranks fourth in both total assists (10) and assists per game (0.67). She is sixth in points per game at 2.53.
Lindsey Johnson ranks 48th in the latest national statistics with her 74 saves.

WEEKLY HONORS
Sydney Leslie earned her first MIAA Offensive Athete of the Week honor with her performace during the week of Oct. 18-24.
• Leslie recorded three goals, six points, four shots, and three shots-on-goals on the week.

 THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
• Dating back to the 2016 season, the Jennies are 37-1-1 at Jennies Field and have allowed just 19 goals in that span.
• The Jennies have outscored opponents 141-2 in goals at home since 2016.
• All-time at Jennies Field, UCM is 199-34-9. Under head coach Lewis Theobald, the Jennies are 136-13-8 at home and have posted undefeated home records five times.

 ROAD WARRIORS
• In 2021, the Jennies are 7-1-1 on the road.
• The Jennies have outscored their opponents away from the South Recreation Complex this season, 7-2.
• Under Theobald, UCM is 143-14-9 in road games in his 15th seasons of play.

BRINGING HOME THE HARDWARE
• In 2019, the Jennies won their 11th MIAA regular season championship in the last 13 seasons.
• The Jennies had nine All -MIAA honorees in 2019 including returning goalkeeper Lindsey Johnson, who was the conference Goalkeeper of the year, and returners Kassie Newsom, Nayeli Gallo, Macy Ruffalo, and Cassie Forcellini.
• Johnson was also a second team D2CCA-All Central Region Team selection.

CAREER MILESTONE WATCH
Lindsey Johnson enters the week ranked second in career saves with 231. She is also in the top-10 in saves per game (4.60), goals-against average (1.21), and save percentage (.779).
