WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Seventeenth-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies soccer moved its winning streak to six matches with a 4-1 victory over the Nebraska Kearney Lopers Sunday, Oct. 17, at the South Recreation Complex.
The Jennies (12-1-1, 6-0-1 MIAA) are scheduled to play a pair of road matches next weekend starting with Washburn (7-4-2, 3-3-1 MIAA) on Friday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. in Topeka, Kan., before traveling to Emporia, Kan., for a match at Emporia State (12-1-1, 6-1-0 MIAA) Sunday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m.
Central Missouri tallied a goal in the first half before netting three in the second frame on its way to the win.

Lindsay Edmonds scored the UCM goals in the match, with
Ashleigh Martin,
Peyton Wagoner and
Caroline Cole each posting assists.
UCM goalkeeper
Lindsey Johnson improved to 12-1-1 on the season after making two saves in 80 minutes between the posts.
Ruf opened the scoring for the Jennies just five minutes into the match, hammering a Martin cross into the back of the net, giving UCM the 1-0 advantage. It was Ruf's first collegiate goal.
Neither team scored the final 40 minutes of the first half, putting UCM in front, 1-0, through 45 minutes.
The Jennies got unlucky in the 53rd-minute when the ball deflected into their own net for an own goal, leveling the match, 1-1.
The stalemate didn't last long, however, as Newsom fired a Wagoner pass into the back of the net four minutes later for her team and MIAA-high 14th goal of the season, putting UCM back in front, 2-1.
Eleven minutes later, it was 3-1, Jennies, when Austin converted a penalty-kick after a Loper foul in the box. It was Austin's second penalty-kick goal of the season.
Edmonds put the match away for Central Missouri with 16 minutes to go in the second period, scoring on corner kick from Cole for her inaugural goal of 2021 and making it 4-1.
The Jennies outshot UNK (2-12-0, 1-6-0 MIAA) in the match, 32-5, including a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal. UCM also bested Nebraska Kearney in corner kicks, 11-1.
Lopers goalkeeper Emery Mounce (2-13-0) took the loss in-goal after allowing four goals and making six saves in the full 90 minutes.
