EMPORIA, Kan. (May 11, 2019) - Central Missouri Track and Field took part in the Emporia State Last Chance Meet Saturday afternoon and evening. UCM had three individual event winners and a relay win.
Sprints/Hurdles/Relays
The biggest win for UCM came in the Mules 4x400m relay. The team of
Trey Miller,
Daylen Foster,
Jacob Weber and
Chris Donald ran a season-best 3:12.11 which would put them in the top-20 in Division II.
Donald also came in third in the 400m hurdles running 53.14 and Miller was 10th in the 110m hurdles in 16.18.Â
Brett Shaffer ran both hurdle events, taking eighth in the 110m running 15.59 and ninth in the 400m in 56.04.
For the Jennies,
Destiney Nash won the 400m hurdles running 1:01.23.
Emily Thole was second in the 400m dash running 56.59. They were both a part of the Jennies second-place 4x400m relay which ran 3:48.83. They were joined by Alex Foote and
Kacey Kohlhof.
Jumps
Jan Jansky and
Vincent Hobbie each jumped 16-9.5 in the pole vault. Jansky took first due to number of attempts.
Cassie Jennines tied for eighth in the vault jumping 12-00.75.
Jeremi Barnes was the winner of the triple jump. He leaped 46-10.00.
Audrey Fisher was third for the Jennies. She had a mark of 38-9.75.
In the long jump,
Christopher Goodwin finished second jumping 23-6.75 and
Brent Alumbaugh 11th at 21-3.25.
Hayley Lindenbusch took a fourth place finish in the high jump, clearing 5-5.25
Throws
Ashlan Burton had a pair of third place finishes. She was third in the discus throwing 156-7 before taking third in the shot put at 48-11.5.
For the Mules,
Dalton Lewallen was fourth in the shot throwing 56-11.5 and
Nathan Cummings right behind him in fifth at 56-4.75.
Kyle Schilling competed in the javelin taking a 17th place finishing throwing the spear 136-3.
Distance
Zach Adams was the only distance runner for UCM. He ran the 5K in 16:25.48 to finish fifth.
UCM has one more last chance meet tomorrow afternoon in Kearney, Neb. The NCAA will select their entries for the national meet this upcoming week.
