WARRENSBURG, Mo. (March 27, 2019) - Central Missouri Jennies Softball had it all working for them Wednesday afternoon against William Jewell. The Jennies combined to outscore the Cardinals 15-1 in their sweep. They've now won four straight games and are 17-9 on the season.
Game 1 - Central Missouri 9, William Jewell 1 (5 innings)
Play-by-Play
• UCM scored in four of the five innings they came to bat. It started in the first.
Alexa Bradley induced three ground balls to third to start the game and
Jessica Sader was clean on them all to get UCM to the plate.
• Sader then drove in the first run of the game, a sacrifice fly to right to score
Lauryn Deer who had singled to lead off the frame.
• One inning later, the Jennies put up a three-spot with three straight two-out hits.
Brenlyn McCoy kept the inning alive and scored
Taylor Dames to make it 2-0.
Ashlyn Cook then doubled to right to score Deer and McCoy and the Jens led 4-0 after two innings.
• Bradley worked into and out of trouble all afternoon, leaving four runners on base in five innings and was helped out by her defense getting a line-drive double play to end the fourth.

Kaitlyn Markin led off the bottom of the fourth inning with a long home run to dead center field as the Jennies built a 5-0 lead.
• An unearned run scored in the fifth for the Cardinals making it 5-1, but that was no issue for the Jennies who scored four in the bottom of the inning.
• McCoy picked up another two-out RBI hit to keep the inning alive. With the bases loaded,
Ashlyn Cook greeted the new Cardinal pitcher with a game-winning, bases-clearing double to left center. The three-run extra base hit gave UCM a 9-1 lead and ended the game.
Jennies Stat Leaders
•
Alexa Bradley worked all five innings to earn the win. She allowed an unearned run on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts.

Brenlyn McCoy had a hit in all three plate appearances. She also scored twice and drove in two runs.
•
Lauryn Deer singled three times and scored three runs.
•
Ashlyn Cook drove in five runs going 2-4 with two doubles.
•
Taylor Dames reached on a hit and a walk, stole two bases and scored two runs.
•
Kaitlyn Markin was 1-3 with a home run.
For the Cardinals
• Lindsay Glynn was 1-2 with a single, stolen base and a run scored.
• Allison Rawls reached base twice with a pair of walks.
• Sarah Lewis pitched the first 4.2 innings and allowed nine runs on 11 hits with a walk and two strikeouts.
Game Two - Central Missouri 6, William Jewell 0
Play-by-Play
• Once again the Jennies started off scoring a run in the first inning.
Lauryn Deer slapped a double to the fence in left field for a leadoff double. Two batters later,
Hailey Crabtree also went opposite field for a single to score Deer.
• Central Missouri broke it open with three straight RBI hits in the third. All with two outs,
Ashlyn Cook and Crabtree hit back-to-back doubles. Sader then singled to center to score Crabtree and moved to third when the ball was mishandled in the outfield.
• On the next pitch,
Makenzie McAtee made it 4-0 with a single to left as Sader came in to score.

Kaitlyn Markin doubled and Murray brought her in with a single to right in the fourth.
• In the sixth, it was Murray again. This time she went deep to left and gave UCM a 6-0 lead.
Jennies Stat Leaders

Gentry Wishard got the start and threw all seven innings, giving up just four hits with five strikeouts.
• Murray was 2-3 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored.
• Crabtree drove in two runs going 2-4.

Ashlyn Cook reached base three times with a double and two walks.
•
Jessica Sader had a hit, run scored and an RBI.
For the Cardinals
• Anna Biondo pitched the first three innings allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits with two strikeouts.
• Madelynne Greenstreet hurled the final three and allowed two runs on three hits with three walks and three strikeouts.
• Greenstreet also had one of four Cardinal hits.

• The Jennies have now won four straight and eight of their last nine.

Alexa Bradley's streak of innings without a walk ended at 22.2.
• Bradley's allowed just one earned run in her last five appearances, spanning 25.2 innings and has won four straight starts.Â
