WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Nov. 18, 2019) - Central Missouri Jennies Basketball made their 2019-20 home debut Monday evening at the Multipurpose Building. The Jens used a big fourth quarter run to pull away from Union for a 67-58 win to even their record at 2-2.
How it Happened
• The team's were evenly matched in a game that saw four ties and nine lead changes.
• UCM held slight shooting advantages at 39% from the floor to 36% for Union.
• The Jennies doubled the amount of three-pointers made, 6-3.
• Union had an advantage on the glass with 38 rebounds to UCM's 34.
• The Jennies forced 22 turnovers and turned those in 17 points while turning it over just 11 times themselves.
• The two teams traded the lead back and forth a few times in the opening quarter. With the Bulldogs leading 10-8,
Morgan VanHyfte buried a three to put UCM ahead 11-10. That was the start of a 7-0 run that saw the Jennies take a 15-10 lead with less than a minute to play. The Bulldogs hit a layup with 34 seconds left and after 10 minutes, the Jens led by three, 15-12.
• The game remained within a single possession for much of the second quarter, but the Jennies never lost the lead. A three from
Megan Skaggs gave the Jens a seven-point lead, 32-25, their largest to that point and they went into the locker room up five, 32-27.
• Union was able to come back in the third thanks to hitting all three of their three-pointers in the period. The Jens scored five at the free-throw line and with 10 minutes left to play, the Jennies still led by three, 45-42.
• The Bulldogs scored four straight to open the fourth and took their first lead since the opening quarter, 46-45. Union built the lead to three, 52-49 before layups from
Morgan Fleming and Skaggs put the Jens up one, 53-52.
• Union answered with a basket midway through the quarter before the Jens broke it open. UCM scored 10 straight points to get out in front by nine, 63-54.
Megan Skaggs blocked two shots on one possession then scored on a layup on the other end before Fleming dropped a dime three-quarters down the floor to
Kim Crown who finished at the rim.
• Fleming went 4-4 at the free throw line in the final minute and the Jens walked away with a 67-58 win.
It Was Over When...
• Fleming found Crown down the floor and threw a beauty of a pass that Crown caught in stride and finished for a five-point lead with less than two minutes to play. Crown then made it a seven-point game, 61-54, with a pair of free throws.

Morgan Fleming scored 19 points with five rebounds. She was 7-8 at the free throw line.

News and Notes
• The Jennies are 3-0 against the Bulldogs all time with two wins in the last three seasons.
• UCM has started the year with four straight games without allowing 60 points. That's the first time since 2006-07 when they did so in five straight to start the year.
• Fleming has scored 19 points in back-to-back games.
• Both Fleming and Skaggs have reached double-figures in all three games.
• The Jennies 67 points are their most so far this season.
