WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Jan. 28, 2019) - Mules Wrestling (0-3, 0-2 MIAA) will travel to Nebraska-Kearney (8-4, 1-0 MIAA) and Fort Hays State ( 1-8, 0-2 MIAA) for a pair of MIAA duals.

Last Time on the Mat
UCM took on McKendree for a dual in Springfield, Mo.  John Feeney was the first Mule on the board at 133-pounds. Mckendree won the next five matches but the Mules remained strong. Dominique Hampton held a No.2 ranked opponent to only two-points, and Chase Miller had a competitive day at 285-pounds, falling 5-3. 

Mules Stat Leaders
• No Mule wrestled more matches last year than Daide Agnew who went 17-22. This season Agnew has eight wins and one place finish thus far, he has also hit his 100 career milestone.
• Allan Person and Dominique Hampton each won 16 matches last season. Person picked up his first win of the season at the Grand View Open but has not returned to the mat due to injury.
• Dominique Hampton has come out strong this season, picking up wins at the last two matches, and was the top finisher at the Roger Denker Open placing second. 
• Justin Mitchell had a successful weekend at 125 pounds, placing sixth overall and has now placed at the last two opens for the Mules. 
• Dakota Thevel had a breakthrough week at the Hastings Open, where he finished third at 141 pounds scoring 14.0 points on the day. 
• John Feeney was the top finisher last week against McKendree. Feeney was the only Mule defeat a Bearcat.
• Jesse Reser opened up his season in a big way taking on a No. 6 ranked opponent at 165-pounds defeating him by decision 8-7 against Lindenwood. Reser has not returned to the mat since due to injury.

Looking Ahead
• The Mules will continue their long road trip, and head to Kirksville to take on the Bulldogs of Truman State.
