BOLIVAR, Mo. (Sept. 29, 2018) - Central Missouri Jennies Volleyball continues to roll as they improved to 15-4 (5-2 MIAA) this season following a 3-0 sweep of Southwest Baptist (25-18, 25-16, 25-13).
How it Happened
• The Jennies won the hitting percentage battle .319-.089. They landed 45 kills to the Bearcats 25.
• UCM also picked up seven points on service aces to SBU's one.
• For the match, UCM had a 71% sideout percentage and were at 75% and above in sets two and three.
• The opening set was the closest of the three. The Bearcats hung with UCM and had a one-point lead, 15-14. From there, the Jens rattled off six straight points to take the lead for good. The Jens only scored two points during the run as SBU committed four errors. From there, UCM held the lead the rest of the way and a service error made it a 1-0 lead following a 25-18 set one win.
• Two big runs by the Jennies highlighted their 25-16 set two wins. Trailing 10-7, the Jennies scored five straight getting kills from
Aubree Bell and
Hannah Engelken and a service ace from
Abby Skrastins. UCM led the rest of the way and scored the final six to close the frame.
Audrey Fisher had two kills in the run.
• The third set saw the Jennies scored 19 of the final 26 points. Tied up at six-all, the Jens scored six straight to take the lead and never gave it up.
Kylie Hohlen had three aces during the stretch. The Jennies built a 12-point lead, 20-8, and won by that same margin, 25-13.

News and Notes
• For the third straight game, the Jennies held an opponent to a hitting percentage under .100.
• UCM hit above .300 for the second time in three games. Their .319 attack percentage is their second highest this season.
• The Jennies have now won 66 straight against the Bearcats and are 66-1 all-time vs. SBU.
• With her three aces tonight,
Kylie Hohlen has reached 100 for her career.
• Freshman
Kelsey Simmons appeared in her first collegiate game, landing a kill.
