LIBERTY, Mo. (Sept. 25, 2018) - Central Missouri Jennies Volleyball picked up a win on the road in their final non-conference game of the regular season. They swept William Jewell 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-16) and improve to 13-4 on the season.
How it Happened
• The Jennies didn't trail at any point in any of their three sets against the Cardinals.
• UCM hit .317 for the match while the Cards were under .100 at .052. The Jens also landed 46 kills to the Cardinals 27.
• Central Missouri scored the first three points in set one, starting with back-to-back kills from
Hannah VanBuskirk. William Jewell kept it close and had tied the set at 7-7. From there, the Jennies went on a 6-0 run to open up a 13-7 lead and went on to their largest win of the match, 25-14. The set ended like it started with a kill from VanBuskirk.
• The Jens jumped out to a 9-3 lead in set two and never looked back. A 4-0 run with kills from
Kylie Hohlen and
Hannah Engelken, along with two Cardinal attack errors, pushed the Jens lead to 9-3. William Jewell cut it to three on handful of occasions, but no closer and two straight attack errors gave the Jennies a 25-16 win.
• UCM made little doubt in set three, scoring the first seven points. They nailed five kills and had a service ace in the stretch. The Cardinals were never able to regroup and UCM won their second set, 25-16 and took the match in three. Â
Jennies Stat Leaders
• Noone had more kills in the match than
Audrey Fisher with 14. She hit .737 with 14 kills on 19 attempts without an errors.Â

Kylie Hohlen picked up a game-high 21 digs. She also landed seven kills and had two blocks.

Ally Offerdahl passed out 34 assists.
•
Hannah VanBuskirk added eight kills and
Rylee Neigenfind seven more.
•
Abby Skrastins aided the Jennies defense with 17 digs.
For the CardinalsÂ
• Jenna Rau led the team with six kills and four blocks.
• Maddie Wingert and Lily Johnson each had five kills.
• Olivia Tolberd had 19 digs on defense.
• Lauren Castaneda handed out 12 assists while Megan Rhule had 11.

• Central Missouri moves to 38-0 all-time on Tuesday's under Coach Piontek and 8-0 all-time against William Jewell.
• The Jennies .317 hitting percentage was a season-best. They are now 108-0 under Coach Piontek when hitting above .300 for a match.
