WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Dec. 9, 2018) - Central Missouri Mules Wrestling competed in their first MIAA dual match of the season against No. 10 Lindenwood.

No. 10 Lindenwood grabbed the lead quickly winning the first five matches to lead the Mules 31-0. The Mules got on the board in the 165-pound category when Jesse Reser took down a nationally ranked opponent to set the score 31-3. The Lions took the 174-pound division but Dominique Hampton was a force to be reckoned with in the 184-pound division to add points to the board 34-6. The Lions secured their win taking the last two matches. The Mules fell to nationally 10th ranked Lindenwood Lions, 34-6. 

The Mules took the 165 and 184 weight classes in their first MIAA match up in Jesse Reser and Dominique Hampton. Reser, who opened up his season in today's match, defeated No. 6 Kyle Jolas by decision 8-7 at 165 pounds. Dominique Hampton had a successful day for the Mules taking the 184-pound category. Hampton defeated the Lions Patrick Kristin by decision, 8-4. Cole Hatfield also had a competitive day for the Mules at 174 pounds, falling just by one point by decision. 

The Mules will have a few days to recover, before hitting the mat Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Midwest Classic in Indianapolis, Indiana.

141 pounds: Tyler Wicken (LWU) defeats Daide Agnew (UCM) by technical fall, 22-4. (Lindenwood leads 21-0)
149 pounds: Gavin Londoff (LWU) defeats Dakota Thevel (UCM) by technical fall, 16-0. (Lindenwood leads 26-0)
157 pounds: Nate Trepanier (LWU) defeats Austin Morgan (UCM) by technical fall, 19-2. (Lindenwood leads 31-0)
165 pounds: Jesse Reser (UCM) defeats No. 6 Kyle Jolas (LWU) by decision, 8-7. (Lindenwood leads 31-3)
174 pounds: Kyle Summers (LWU) defeats Cole Hatfield (UCM) by decision, 4-3. (Lindenwood leads 34-3)
184 pounds: Dominique Hampton (UCM) defeats Patrick Kristin by decision, 8-4. (Lindenwood wins 34-6)
197 pounds: Jared McKindley (LWU) pins Ben Lancaster (UCM)  in 1:30. (Lindenwood leads 6-0)
285 pounds: Courvoisier Morrow (LWU) defeats Chase Miller (UCM) by decision, 4-1. (Lindenwood leads 9-0)
