PITTSBURG, Kan. (Dec. 8, 2018) - Central Missouri Track and Field had their largest competition to date and will come away pleased with many of the results. The Mules and Jennies combined for five NCAA provisional qualifying marks and one automatic mark among the 13 that were sent to compete.

Pole Vault
• Starting in the pole vault which saw three qualifiers. In his first meet with Central Missouri, Vincent Hobbie won the event on the men's side jumping 17-1.75 which was the automatic qualifier and is also puts him fourth in the event in Mules history.
• Jan Jansky and Callie Ruffener also hit provisional qualifying marks. Jansky was second among the men jumping 16-6. Ruffener was the fourth finisher for the women and set a new personal-best clearing 11-10.5.

Throws
• Two of the remaining qualifiers came in the shot put. Ashlan Burton set a new indoor PR in the event throwing 46-2.75 and took third place. She was also 15th in the weight throw with a mark of 46-8.
• Nathan Cummings also hit a provo mark in the shot put, finishing second throwing 55-8.25. He was sixth in the weight throw at 55-0.75.
• John Berry was one place behind Cummings in the weight with a toss of 53--9.25.

Jumps
• The final NCAA qualifier was Brad Jenkins in the triple jump. He set a new indoor personal-best leading 47-5.25 and placed third.
• Christopher Goodwin was second in the long jump at 23 feet.

Sprints/Hurdles
• Also competing in his first meet for UCM was Chris Donald. He was third in the 400m dash running 48.78 which puts him seventh all-time on the indoor 400m list. He also finished sixth in the 60m hurdles running 8.36.
• Matt Scaletty, Daylen Foster and Kyzer Ramey all also competed in the 400m dash. Scaletty and Foster each set new personal-bests running 49.35 and 49.93 to finish fifth and 11th respectively. It is their first time running below 50 seconds at UCM. Ramey was 22nd runnign 51.33 and was 24th in the 60m dash running 7.09.

That is the final competition for UCM Track and Field before the New Year. They'll be back in action Friday, Jan. 18 for the UCM Invitational in Warrensburg.
