KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dec. 10, 2018) - Central Missouri Jennies Basketball got back on track with an 84-67 on the road at Rockhurst. Jens move to 7-2 this season.
How it Happened
• Both teams shot the ball well with the Jennies shooting 44% both from the floor and from three. Rockhurst kept up the pace hitting 42% from the field and were 44% from deep.
• The Jennies really controlled the ball well turning the ball over just seven times while forcing 13 and scoring 17 points over Hawk turnovers.
• All 12 Jennies who dressed got into the game and nine scored. UCM got 21 points from their bench.
• The Jens grabbed 39 rebounds while the Hawks pulled down 31. The Jens had 11 second chance points and picked up 34 in the paint.
• Rockhurst came out of the gates hot hitting their first three three-point attempts and led by as many as nine, 16-7.
• From there, the Jennies were on a roll scoring 18 straight over the final 5:04 and into the first 22 seconds of the second quarter. They turned a nine point deficit into a nine point lead and never trailed again.
• Rockhurst cut the lead down to four on several occasions before the half, but a three from
Megan Skaggs gave UCM a 41-34 lead into the break.
• The Hawks again brought it down to four early in the third when the Jennies went on another scoring spurt, 13-2 to bring the lead to a game-high 15 points and led by double-digits the rest of the way.
• The Jennies led by as many as 28 with three minutes left in the fourth. Rockhust ended the game scoring 12 of the final 13 to get to our final, 84-67.
It Was Over When...
• Leading by 12 midway through the third, the Jennies put the hammer down with back-to-back three from
Paige Redmond and
Sydney Crockett, bringing the lead to a then game-high 16 points and put Rockhurst award.
Jennies Stat Leaders

Paige Redmond led the Jennies scoring 17 points going 6-13 from the field and 3-6 from three. She also added seven assists.

Megan Skaggs added 15 points with three triples and was 6-9 from the floor. She also grabbed five rebounds.

Kim Crown scored 12 and pulled down a game-high seven boards.
•
Morgan Fleming scored 10 and had three assists.
•
Sydney Crockett and
Peyton Taylor each scored nine.
•
Morgan VanHyfte helped out with eight points.
For the Hawks
• Marisa Lowe scored a game-high 24 points and was 6-11 from three.
• Madeline Ronshausen added 22 with six assists.
• Lauren Krissman and Briahtia Sebek each scored five.
News and Notes
• The Jennies hit exactly three three-pointers in all four quarters.
• Central Missouri's seven turnovers were a season low.
• This is the Jennies eighth straight win over Rockhurst and are 11-2 all-time.
• This is the third time this season the Jennies have eclipsed 80 points in a game.

Paige Redmond moved up to 14th all-time in scoring at UCM and is at 1,364 career points.
• In three of the four quarters, the Jennies scored 20 or more points.
