Out of the break, NWMSU hit three straight attack errors and UCM went on to a 2-0 lead with a 25-17 win.

The Bearcats retook a three-point edge, 21-18 and the Jennies were again there to stop the run. A rare kill from Carly Offerdahl retied the set at 21-all. The Jens held match point, 24-22, but four straight points gave the Bearcats the set, 26-24.
