ALLENDALE, MI. (Nov. 16, 2018) - No. 3 seeded Central Missouri Soccer won their fifth straight Central Region Championship earlier today against No. 1 seeded Central Oklahoma 4-3.
How it Happened
• The Jens and the Bronchos fought hard in the first 16 minutes of play with no one on the board.
• In the 17th minute, however, the Bronchos broke the silence with a goal from Morgan Cherry to lead 1-0.
• Katie Killion put UCO on the board in the 28th minute to extend their lead 2-0.
• In the 34th minute the Jens pick up their ball movement, Kelsey Mueller finds Jada Scott. Scott finds Courtney Killian for a goal to trail 2-1.
• Coming out of the half, UCO was first on the board with a goal from Asha Haile in the 49th minute leaving the score 3-1.
• Makayla Toth quickly responds for the Jennies in the 51st minute with a goal setting the score 3-2.
• In the 83rd minute, the tempo immediately changed when Jada Scott found Makayla Toth to tie the game 3-3.
• In overtime, Haley Freeman scored the golden goal in the 98th minute with the assist from Jada Scott.
• The Jennies defeated the Bronchos 4-3.
