Jennies Soccer Wins Fifth Consecutive Central Region Championship

ALLENDALE, MI. (Nov. 16, 2018) - No. 3 seeded Central Missouri Soccer won their fifth straight Central Region Championship earlier today against No. 1 seeded Central Oklahoma 4-3.

How it Happened
•  The Jens and the Bronchos fought hard in the first 16 minutes of play with no one on the board.
• In the 17th minute, however, the Bronchos broke the silence with a goal from Morgan Cherry to lead 1-0.
• Katie Killion put UCO on the board in the 28th minute to extend their lead 2-0.
• In the 34th minute the Jens pick up their ball movement, Kelsey Mueller finds Jada Scott. Scott finds Courtney Killian for a goal to trail 2-1.
• Coming out of the half, UCO was first on the board with a goal from Asha Haile in the 49th minute leaving the score 3-1.
Makayla Toth quickly responds for the Jennies in the 51st minute with a goal setting the score 3-2.
• In the 83rd minute, the tempo immediately changed when Jada Scott found Makayla Toth to tie the game 3-3.
• In overtime, Haley Freeman scored the golden goal in the 98th minute with the assist from Jada Scott.
• The Jennies defeated the Bronchos 4-3.

Courtney Killian had one goal, and one shot on goal for the Jennies.
Makayla Toth contributed two goals, six shots.
Jada Scott contributed four shots and three assists.
Haley Freeman had four shots and scored the final goal in the victory.
