TAHLEQUAH, Ok. (October 5, 2018)-- Jennies Soccer added another win to their record this evening after shutting out the Riverhawks of Northeastern State 6-0. The Jens are now improving their record to 9-1-1 on the season and 3-0-1 in the conference.
How It Happened
• The Jennies were the first on the board thanks to a Northeastern State own goal in the sixth minute to set the score 1-0.
•
Just 35 seconds later Haley Freeman gets a foot on it and scores for the Jennies with a pass from Makayla Toth 2-0.
• Now in the 17th minute the Riverhawks have another own goal to add another point on the board for the Jennies 3-0.
•
Skylar Drum came down in the 23rd minute with the fourth straight Jennies goal assisted by
Haley Freeman to increase the lead 4-0.
• But the Jens were not done yet,
Makayla Toth scored the fifth and final goal of the half in the 30th minute, setting the score 5-0 at the half.
• The Riverhawks outshot the Jennies 16-8.
