Jennies Dominate Griffons On Senior Day

WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Oct. 28, 2018) - Central Missouri Soccer had Senior Day earlier today and ended their regular season play with a 4-0 victory against the Griffons of Missouri Western at Jennies Field. The Jennies are now preparing for the post-season and improve to 14-3-1, and 8-2-1 in the MIAA. 

How it Happened
Courtney Killian gave the Jennies the upper hand in the 10th minute of play finding the back of the net to set the tone giving the Jens a quick 1-0 lead. 
• The fast pace continued when Makayla Toth found Jada Scott in the 22nd minute to increase the lead and set the score 2-0 going into the half. 
• With the Jennies leading 2-0 coming out of the half, they were all gas no breaks. Courtney Killian spotted Makayla Toth, and she found the back of the net in the 56th minute to increase their lead 3-0.
• The Jens cliched the win in the 72nd minute when Courtney Killian scored the final goal to give UCM the victory 4-0.

Jennies Stat Leaders
• Courtney Killian added two goals, four shots, two shots on goal, and one assist in her 78 minutes of play.
Makayla Toth contributed one goal, four shots, two shots on goal, and one assist on the day.
• Jada Scott added one goal for the Jennies, four shots and two shots on goal in the match. 
• Goalkeeper Lindsey Johnson faced 11 shots and grabbed four saves for the day.

For the Griffons
• Cassidy Menke led MWSU with six shots and one shot on goal on the day. 
• Taylor Schwartzkopf added two shots and one shot on goal in the match. 
• Goalkeeper Anna Mayer had two saves on the day and faced 16 shots.
