Jennies Defeat Lions At Home

WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Oct. 26, 2018) - Central Missouri Soccer started off Homecoming weekend with a 3-2 victory over the Lions of Lindenwood at Jennies Field. The Jennies have one more regular season game before post-season and improve to 13-3-1, and 7-2-1 in the MIAA. 

How it Happened
Haley Freeman set the tone for UCM in the 30th minute and was the first on the board, with a shot from 15 yards out, bouncing off a Lindenwood defender before making its way into the net.
• In the 31st minute, the Jens were on the board once again, when Annie Parscale dribbled up the right side connecting with the net from 20 yards out with the assist from Courtney Killian
• With the Jennies leading 2-0, Sami Gregory broke the silence with a goal in the 53rd minute, to put the Lions on the board first in the second half. 
• Katie Richter then tied up the game for the Lions in the 56th minute with a goal from 15 yards out hitting the lower right side.
• The Jens cliched the win in the 60th minute when Skylar Drum scrambled off of a direct kick to give UCM the victory.

Jennies Stat Leaders
Haley Freeman scored one goal, two shots, and one shot on goal.
Annie Parscale contributed one goal, three shots and two shots on goal on the day.
Skylar Drum added one goal for the Jennies, one shot and one shot on goal in the match.
Courtney Killian led UCM with four shots and one assist in the contest. 
• Goalkeeper Lindsey Johnson faced 10 shots and grabbed three saves for the day.

For the Lions
• Sami Gregory led the Lions with one goal, three shots, one shot on goal, and one assist.
• Katie Richter added one goal, one shot, and one shot on goal in the match. 
• Goalkeeper Megan Swanson had four saves on the day and faced 12 shots.

News and Notes
• The goal from Parscale was her first career goal. 
• After tonight's win, the Jennies now lead the Lions 14-2-0 all-time.
• The Jennies outshot the Lions 12-10 and led in shots on goal 7-5.
