ST. CHARLES, Mo. (Oct. 16, 2018) - Central Missouri Jennies Volleyball picked up their second straight win Tuesday night with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-18) sweep of Lindenwood. UCM moves to 18-6 this season and 8-4 in the MIAA.
How it Happened
• The Jennies made a big comeback to steal game one, but relatively had games two and three in hand on their way to a sweep.
• UCM hit above .300 at .333 with 44 kills on 108 attempts while the Lions hit just .152 for the match.
• The Lions roared out the gates scoring eight of the first 10 points. They opened up an eight-point lead, 17-9, before the Jennies made their presence felt. UCM rattled off seven straight points to get to within one, 17-16, and then took the lead with another 6-0 run on their way to a 25-20 win, outscoring the Lions 16-3 down the stretch.
• Sets two and three were much different with the Jennies getting out in front early and holding the lead. Tied at three in set two, UCM went on a 7-1 run to take a 9-4 lead and never trailed again. The teams went point-for-point the rest of the way and the Jennies maintained a five-point lead with a 25-20 win.
• The final set was an extension of the second with UCM taking a 6-3 lead helped out by two straight kills from
Hannah Engelken. With the Lions back to within two, 9-7, the Jennies scored five straight, stretching the lead to 14-7 and won by that difference, 25-18.

• The Lions couldn't handle
Audrey Fisher who finished with a match-high 12 kills on 17 attempts without an error.

Hannah Engelken helped out in the middle with nine more kills and five blocks.

Kylie Hohlen also finished with nine kills and 10 digs.

Carly Offerdahl picked up a game-high 13 digs and
Ally Offerdahl led the way with 31 assists.

• Sadie Koscuik led the Lions with nine kills.
• Allyson Clancy passed out 28 assists.
• Emma Lattimore led LWU with nine digs. and landed a service ace.
News and Notes
• This was the second Jennies 3-0 win over Lindenwood this season.
• The Jennies are 38-0 all-time when playing on a Tuesday under Coach Piontek and now 15-0 all-time against Lindenwood.
• UCM's .333 hitting percentage was their highest of the season for a single match.
