PITTSBURG, Kan. (Oct. 13, 2018) - Central Missouri Jennies Volleyball snapped a two-game skid with a 3-1 (25-18, 22-25, 25-22, 25-20) win at Pittsburg State. The Jens improve to 17-6 this season and 7-4 in the MIAA.
How it Happened
• Central Missouri hit .243 for the match while the Gorillas were at .180.
• The Jennies picked up 61 of their 70 points on kills, while the Gorillas landed 51 kills and scored 63 points.
• The Gorillas committed 20 attack errors, 10 service errors, three block errors and a ball-handling error, to give UCM 34 points.
• UCM scored the first four points of the match, but was quickly answered with four straight PSU points. With the match still tied at seven, the Jennies again went on a 4-0 run, helped out by a pair of Gorilla attack errors for an 11-7 lead. The Jennies kept that lead the rest of the way. Pitt State got to within two, 20-18, but the Jennies scored the final five points with four kills, three by
Audrey Fisher.
• The Gorillas were able to tie the match, winning a closely fought second set. UCM led by one, 18-17, when the Gorillas scored five straight points to take a 22-18 lead. The Jennies then landed three straight kills to get back to within one, 22-21, but the Gorillas were able to hang on for a 25-22 win.
• UCM answered with a 25-22 set three win of their own. Neither team had more than a two-point lead until the very end. Trailing 18-16, the Jennies reclaimed the lead with two kills and a PSU attack error, 19-18. After Pitt State was able to re-tie at 20, the Jennies scored four straight for a 24-20 lead and won the set 25-22.
• Trailing by three, 14-11, UCM went on a 6-0 run to take a lead they never gave back.
Aubree Bell scored two kills, but four Gorilla attack errors pushed the Jennies run. Pitt State got back to within one, 18-17, but the Jennies then scored five of the next six points and put the match away with a 25-20 win following another kill from Bell.Â

• Aubrey Fisher finished with a match-high 20 kills. She also tied a career-best with eight digs and had three blocks.

Kylie Hohlen picked up her second straight double-double with 14 kills and 17 digs.

Ally Offerdahl helped out the offense with 48 assists. She also had 12 digs.

Carly Offerdahl picked up a team-best 19 digs while
Abby Skrastins chipped in 15.

For the Gorillas
• Lauren Regier and Marissa Bates each had a team-best 14 kills. Reiger added 14 digs and Bates picked up 12.
• Brianna Richard had 38 assists and a game-best 25 digs.
• Lauren Dunn scored two service aces with 11 digs.
• Meg Auten chipped in nine kills.

• The Jennies improve to 61-5-1 all-time against Pittsburg State.
• This season, UCM is 4-1 against teams from the State of Kansas.
• For the season,

• For just the third time this year, UCM had five players with double-digit digs.
