SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Sept. 3, 2017)-- The Central Missouri Jennies Soccer team (1-0-0) posted its second straight shutout with a dominant 5-0 win over the Augustana Vikings on the road Sunday afternoon in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Megan Woolley was a force on offense scoring three goals for UCM. Redshirt senior

Mallory Broady also helped pace the Jennies offense scoring one goal each. In net, senior
Ana Dilkes tallied six saves en route to her second straight shutout of the season.
It took some time before the Jennies got on the board, but they did not look back once they established the lead over the Vikings. UCM grabbed its lead in the 42nd minute when Woolley scored off a deflection from 20 yards out. Her goal gave the Jennies a 1-0 advantage over the Vikings going into halftime.
Despite being up just 1-0, UCM outshot Augustana 12-7 in the first half with four of those shots being on goal. Defensively, the Jennies held the Viking to just seven shots in the first half.
Things went in favor for the Jens in the second half as they scored four goals and limited Augustana to just two shots the entire second half. In that 45-minute frame, the offense dominated the Vikings.
Rhodes pushed the lead to 2-0 in the 50th minute as she nailed a shot from 10 yards out to the right post off an assist from
Baylie Edwards. Rhodes finished the season opening weekend with three goals in two games to help pace the Jennies offense.
Things continued to roll for the Jennies offense as Woolley scored back-to-back goals within a span of two minutes to push the lead to 3-0. At the 52:04 mark of the game, she scored from 18 yards out to the right of the net for her second goal of the season.
Goal No. 3 came at the 53:32 mark as she got inside the box and nailed a shot pass the goalkeeper's reach to give UCM a commanding 4-0 lead.
Entering today's match, Woolley was tied for 10th all-time in program history in goals and now sits alone at ninth with 26 career goals. Her six points today also bumps her career total to 64 which is good for 10th in UCM history.
Not to be left out from season opening weekend, Broady scored her second career goal as a Jennie in the 64th minute. She nailed a header off a pass from freshman teammate
Haley Freeman to push the lead to 5-0 for UCM.
The second half was all Jennies as they took 12 shots total, eight of which were on goal, and tallied 24 for the game. Defensively, UCM held Augustana to just seven total shots for the game as the team posted its second straight shutout.
The Jennies continue their road trip on Friday, Sept. 8, as they travel to St. Cloud, Minn., to take on the Huskies of St. Cloud State. Opening kick is set for 7 p.m. at Husky Stadium.
