RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (Sept. 16, 2017) - Jennies Volleyball won their final game of the Arkansas Tech Spikefest Tournament in three sets against Christian Brothers. Central Missouri finished the tournament 3-1 and won all of their matches in three sets. The Jennies are now 9-3 on the season.
How It happened
- In the first set there were five lead changes and the score was tied seven times before the Jennies went on a 3-0 scoring run to go up 13-9. They stayed in the lead for the remaining of the set to win it 25-15. The Buccaneers were held to a .061 hitting percentage while the Jennies achieved a hitting percentage of .306.
- Both teams battled again in the second set. After being tied 14-14, UCM continued to score and held on to win 25-19. Kasey Hohlen completed the set with six kills.
- Christian Brothers held an early 8-7 lead, but that would be the only time UCM trailed. The Jennies went on an 11-2 scoring run and didn't look back as they took the final set 25-15.

The Jennies will play their first home series of the season next weekend. They will face Northwest Missouri on Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. and then Missouri Western at 3 p.m. on the Sept. 23.Â
