WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Nov. 15, 2017) - Midweek exhibition action for the Jennies as they traveled to Springfield, Mo. to take on Division I Missouri State. The Jennies fell in their first and only exhibition of the year, 62-36.
How it HappenedÂ
• Central Missouri struggled from the floor shooting just 24.6% (15-61) and 11.8% from three (4-31).
• The Jennies mustered 10 points in only one quarter, the third, when they scored 12.
• Missouri State had the size advantage and used it for a 54-29 rebounding edge.
• The Jennies did force more turnovers as the Lady Bears committed 18 to the Jennies 14.
• Things didn't start out well for the Jennies who committed four turnovers before attempting a legal shot. Despite the early struggles, the Lady Bears were cold at the start too and led by only one, 4-3 at the media timeout. Out of the break though MSU got hot and scored 13 points in the final 4:44 and never trailed again.
• Central Missouri never really threatened the Lady Bears. MSU scored 10 quick points in the first 2:05 of the second half and the rout was on.

Sydney Skaggs each hit a three late in the third, but it wasn't enough and the Lady Bears went on to a 62-36 win.
It Was Over When...
• At halftime the Jennies trailed by just 13 and limited Missouri State to just 28 first half points. Out of the break though the Lady Bears were red-hot scoring 10 points in 2:05 and a jumper by Brice Calip made it a 21-point game, 38-17 as MSU was in the middle of a 14-2 run to start the half.
Jennies Stat Leaders

Kelsey Williams led the Jennies with eight points on 3-6 shooting including 2-5 from three.

Kayonna Lee grabbed a game-high nine rebounds with two blocks and two steals.
•
Paige Redmond added seven points.
•
Sydney Skaggs scored six points and had four rebounds in 11 minutes of action.
For the Lady Bears
• 11 Different Lady Bears scored at least two points.Â
• Aubrey Buckley, Liza Fruendt, Alexa Willard and Brice Calip all scored eight points.
• Shameka Ealy grabbed seven rebounds and scored seven points.
News and Notes
• The game was just an exhibition for the Jennies, so they remain 2-0 on the season.
• This was the Jennies first matchup with Missouri State since 1982.
• There were a total of just seven free throws taken in the game. MSU went 2-3 at the line and the Jens were 2-4.
