WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Nov. 10, 2017) - No. 19 Central Missouri made quick work of Southwest Baptist in their regular season home finale. The Jens swept SBU 3-0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-15) to move to 23-7 on the season and 13-4 in the MIAA.
How it Happened
• The Jennies hot offense landed 53 kills to the Bearcats 22 and hit .519 for the match.
• Central Missouri scored six points by way of service ace.
• Southwest Baptist had trouble handling the Jennies attacks, coming out with only 13 digs.
• The Jennies never trailed at any point in the match, and there were only three total ties, the latest being 2-2 in set two..Â
• Set one was all UCM, who quickly got ahead 7-3 in the match's first 10 points. The offense stayed hot landing 17 kills and hitting .708 for the match, without committing a single attack error.
• The Bearcats kept things closer in set two. A Katie Robinson service made it 14-13 in favor of the home team, but that was as close as SBU got. The Jennies went to score four of the next five points to take an 18-14 lead, and went on to win 25-18. Kasey Hohlen landed six kills in the frame. UCM had a match-high 19 kills in set two.
• Central Missouri went up big early in the third, 10-3, and were able to cruise the rest of the way, emptying their bench in the process. Tyler Downs got time at setter and handed out three assists and Cassidy LoBerg ended the match with a kill.Â
Jennies Stat Leaders
• It was a good night for the four seniors. Kasey Hohlen had a game-high 15 kills and hit .550 for the match.

Molly Lawrence landed eight kills on nine attempts. She also had a hand in all three Jennies blocks.
• Katie Carlson picked up five digs while Fuatino Manu added four and three assists.
• Kylie Hohlen was the Jennies leader on defense with 16 digs.
• Audrey Fisher and Hannah VanBuskirk also had eight kills each.
• Aubree Bell scored eight points with five kills and three service aces.
• Ally Offerdahl handed out 37 assists and scored six kills.
For the Bearcats
• Katie Robinson and Delanie Tipton each had a team-best five kills. They also each had a solo block.Â
• Brea Freeman handed out 10 assists while Ashleigh DeWees had nine.
• Robinson and Bailey Baumann each landed a service ace.Â
• Baumann led the Bearcats with three digs.Â
News and Notes
• Noteworthy game for senior
Molly Lawrence. She went over 400 career kills in the match. Her .889 attack percentage (8 kills, 0 errors, 9 attempts) is also the fourth-highest in a single game in UCM history.
• Another noteworthy kill came from Kylie Hohlen. Hohlen spent much of her first two seasons as an outside hitter before moving full time to libero this season. She had been stuck on 499 kills since the second week of the season before landing career kill number 500 tonight.
• Central Missouri's .519 attack percentage for the match is their highest in a match since hitting exactly .519 in October of 2010 against Southwestern Oklahoma State.
• The win means the Jennies went 10-0 at home during the regular season. UCM has previously gone undefeated at home seven times in their history, with their last coming in 2013.Â
• The Jennies win also guarantees them at least one more home match next week, as they are guaranteed to finish in the top-four in the MIAA standings.Â
