MARYVILLE, Mo. (Oct. 27, 2017) - Central Missouri Jennies Volleyball fell at Northwest Missouri State 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 19-25, 21-25). The loss is just the sixth this season for UCM and third in the MIAA. They sit at 20-6 and 10-3 in the league.
How it Happened
• Northwest hit .270 for the match while the Jennies could only hit .222. Central Missouri knocked 21 attack errors while the Bearcats just 14.
• The Bearcats scored eight points on service aces while the Jennies had only two.
• Both teams blocked well with NWMSU holding a 9-8 edge.
• The Bearcats scored the first three points of the match, but the Jennies were able to comeback and took a two-point lead at 11-9. With the scored tied at 19-all, NWMSU scored six of the final eight points to take set one, 25-21.
Aubree Bell knocked seven kills in the frame.
• Set two was the second straight that had 10 ties, along with four lead changes. The set kept going back and forth, but UCM was able to pull away late, getting ahead 19-16 and forcing a NWMSU timeout. They never trailed again and kills from
Ally Offerdahl and
Audrey Fisher tied the match with a 25-19 win.
• Another battle took place in the third set, with neither team taking more than a three point lead until the very end. That team was the Bearcats, who scored the final four points for a 25-19 win of their own.
• The Jennies looked like they were ready to tie the match again, ahead for much of set four. Trailing 21-20, the Bearcats scored five straight to come back and win the set and the match, 25-21.
Jennies Stat Leaders
• Three Jennies finished in double-digit kills with
Aubree Bell's 15 a team-high.
Kasey Hohlen had 14 and Fisher had 12 with just one error and hit .423.

Kylie Hohlen had 28 digs which was a game-high.
Carly Offerdahl added 12.
• Two Jennies picked up double-doubles. Bell had 10 digs in addition to her 15 kills.
Ally Offerdahl had 45 assists and 15 digs.

Kasey Hohlen lead the team with four blocks.

Katie Carlson and
Carly Offerdahl each had a service ace.
For the Bearcats
• Maddy Bruder had a game-high 21 kills. Hallie Sidney added 15.
• The Bearcats split the setting duties. Maddy Ahrens led the team with 24. Sarah Dannettell had 21.
• Olivia Nowakowski had 26 digs.
• Bruder finished with a double-double with 13 digs and her 21 kills.
• Ahrens had a game-high three aces while Nowakowski and Sofia Schleppenbach had two.
• Schleppenbach also had a game-high six blocks.

• The eight service aces the Bearcats hit were the most UCM has allowed this season.

Ally Offerdahl reached her 1,000th assist of the season.
• The Bearcats have now defeated the Jennies in back-to-back seasons after not winning a match vs. UCM since 1984.

• The Jennies remain on the road. They take on Missouri Western tomorrow night at 7 pm. UCM defeated the Griffons 3-1 earlier this season. MWSU won 3-1 against Lindenwood tonight to hop in front of the Jennies by a game in the MIAA standings.
